Benno Zabel

Benno Zabel studied law from 1992 to 1998, as well as philosophy and literature from 1998 to 2001. In 2007 he obtained his PhD. From 2007 to 2014 he worked as Assistant Professor at the University of Leipzig, from 2015 to 2021 as Professor of Criminal Law and Philosophy of Law at the University of Bonn. Since 2021 he's Professor of Criminal Law and Philosophy of Law at the University Frankfurt am Main. In 2017 he was a Fellow at the Käte Hamburger Center for Advanced Study in the Humanities Law as Culture, in 2018/ 2019 Senior Fellow at the Alfried Krupp Wissenschaftskolleg. Since 2018 he's active as Second Chair of the International Association for Philosophy of Law (German section).
