Thomas Weigend

Thomas Weigend received his doctoral degree in law and his Habilitation at the University of Freiburg. He taught criminal law and criminal procedure at the University of Cologne Faculty of Law from 1986 to 2016. He has published seven books and many articles in German and foreign journals. His main research interests are in criminal law theory, (comparative) criminal procedure, criminal policy, and international criminal law. He has taught as a visiting professor at the University of Bologna, the University of Leuven, New York University, Tokyo University, Peking University, China University of Political Science and Law, and several others.
