Ryu Okazaki

Ryu Okazaki studied philosophy and social sciences at the universities of Osaka, Waseda, Hitotsubashi (in Japan) and Humboldt University in Berlin. He was a research fellow with the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science. In 2021 he obtained his doctoral degree from the Department of Philosophy at Humboldt University in Berlin. He currently teaches philosophy as a part time lecturer for the Graduate School of Language and Society at the Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo, Japan. His research interests include modern German Philosophy, particularly that of Hegel, Novalis, and Schleiermacher, as well as Judith Butler´s reception of Hegel.
