Nikolaos Vervessos studied law in Athens, Zurich, Hamburg and Cologne, obtaining his doctorate in 2000. Nikolaos Vervessos is Assistant Professor of Commercial Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Athens. Nikolaos Vervessos teaches and researches in the fields of: Corporate Law, Capital Markets Law, Insolvency Law and Commercial Contract Law. He is the author of the following monographs: Das Eigenkapitalersatzrecht (2000, dissertation, Nomos Verlag), Der Gleichbehandlungsgrundsatz im Kapitalmarktrecht (2014, Athens), Unternehmensreorganisation zwischen Recht und Privatautonomie (2024, Athens) as well as numerous studies and contributions to collective works in Greek, English and German. He was a member of the Commission for the Reform of the Companies Law, the Law on Transformations and the Law on the Transposition of the Directive on Cross-Border Transformations into Greek Law.
