Miguel Giusti

Miguel Giusti is a professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, where he directs the Institute of Democracy and Human Rights and coordinates the Research Group on the Actuality of Hegel's Thought and the German-Latin American Network of Research and Doctorate in Philosophy (FILORED). He studied philosophy at universities in Peru, Italy, France and Germany. He received his doctorate from the University of Tübingen with the thesis ›Hegels Kritik der modernen Welt‹ and has been a scholar of the ‹Alexander von Humboldt Foundation at the universities of Frankfur/Main and Bochum. He has specialized in the philosophy of German idealism and contemporary ethics, on which he has published extensively.
