Michael Hecht

Michael Hecht studied history and political sciences at the Universities of Halle, Leipzig and Paris IV. He was research assistant at the departements of history in Halle-Wittenberg (2002-2004) and Münster (2004-2015). From 2015-2020 he held a junior professorship for comparative regional history at the University of Münster and since 2020 he has been head of the Institute for Regional History at the Saxony-Anhalt State Office for the Preservation of Monuments and Archaeology in Halle.
