Julia Merdian

Julia Merdian studied law in the University of Bielefeld and the University of Münster (2013-2018). She passed the first state exam at the Higher Regional Court Hamm in 2018. Since 2018 she has been a research associate at the chair of public law, constitutional law and constitutional history (Prof. Dr. Christoph Gusy) in Bielefeld University (faculty of law). In addition she works as a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences for police and public administration (Northrhine-Westphalia) in the field of police enforcement service. Her main researches are internal security and democracy or constitutional law. She received her doctorate at Bielefeld University (Dr. jur.) in 2021.
