Matthias Friehe

Prof. Dr. Matthias Friehe studied law in Marburg, Kaliningrad and Poitiers. He obtained his doctorate at the Philipps-Universität Marburg for his thesis on the law of church-state relationships, supervised by Prof. Dr. Steffen Detterbeck. He completed his legal traineeship in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Frankfurt. Since 2018, he has been an assistant professor for constitutional and administrative law at EBS University in Wiesbaden. Since 2020, he has been chairman of the law group of the Görres Society. His research focuses on parliamentary law, election law, law on nationality, religious freedom, protection of cultural heritage, and civil service law.
