Maja Ruhl studied law at the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg. During a one-year exchange at Tsinghua University in Beijing, she deepened her knowledge of Chinese law and the Chinese language. After completing her First State Examination in law in 2021, she worked as a research assistant at the Institute for International Economic Law with a focus on East Asia under Professor Dr. Yuanshi Bu, LL.M. (Harvard) until April 2022. In May 2023, she completed her LL.M. studies with a specialization in Corporate Law at New York University. In January 2024, she received her doctorate from the Law Faculty of the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg. Since December 2023, she has been a legal trainee at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in Hamburg.
