Karsten Hoof

Karsten Hoof studied mathematics, computer science and law at the University of Potsdam from 1993 to 2000. A job as a software developer at a large aviation company was followed by the legal clerkship from 2003 to 2005 and then a job as a research assistant at the University of Potsdam that lasted until 2014. He was also admitted to the bar in 2007 and practiced this profession with a focus on collective consumer and competition law until 2020. Since 2017 he has been an author of the Juris-PraxisReport on competition and intellectual property law. In 2020 he was appointed judge in the ordinary jurisdiction of the federal state of Brandenburg.
