Edith Arians studied law at the University of Cologne. After successfully completing the first state examination, Ms. Arians received her doctoral degree under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Michael Kubink. During this time, Ms. Arians worked as a lecturer as well as a corrector of exams in all areas of criminal law. From January 2018 on she has worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure Law at the University of Cologne at the chair of Prof. Dr. Dr h.c. Martin Waßmer. In addition, she is the author of various judgment notes and publications on criminal and penitentiary law. Ms. Arians now works as a lawyer in the legal administration of the German Armed Forces in the division of the Federal Ministry of Defense.
