Christoph Schmiegelt

Christoph Schmiegelt studied law at the Johannes Gutenberg University (JGU) in Mainz with a focus on legal history. After passing the First Legal Examination, he completed his legal clerkship in the district of the Higher Regional Court of Koblenz. After the Second State Examination in Law, he became a research assistant at the Chair of German Legal History and Civil Law of Prof. Dr. Andreas Roth. During this time, he assisted in the project »Notare in der nationalsozialistischen ›Volksgemeinschaft‹« (»Notaries in the National Socialist ›Volksgemeinschaft‹«) of Prof. Roth and Prof. Dr. Michael Kißener from the Department of Contemporary History of the JGU.
