Benedikt Nehls

Having graduated from his undergraduate studies in law with the First Legal Examination (1. Juristische Prüfung) in July 2016 at University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, the author wrote the present thesis between September 2016 and April 2018 during the course of his employment as a research assistant at the department of Civil Law, German and European Legal History held by Prof. Mertens. Since September 2018 he studies International Criminal Law as a postgraduate student at National University of Ireland, Galway, and will enter into the legal clerkship programme (Juristischer Vorbereitungsdienst) in October 2019.
