Anthony de Jasay

Anthony de Jasay was born in Hungary in 1925. In his twenties, he emigrated to Australia where he studied economics. In 1955, he moved to Oxford where he became a research fellow of Nuffield College. In 1962, he moved to Paris and worked there as a banker until 1979. Since then he lives in Normandy. Jasays has published five books, among them »Social Contract, Free Ride« (1989), »Against Politics« (1997), and »Justice and Its Surroundings« (2002). Most recently, a multivolume edition of his essays has been published by Liberty Fund.
