Angela Knierim studied law at the University of Heidelberg with a focus on medical criminal law and passed her first state exam in 2012. Afterwards, she began with her ph.D. at the Faculty of Law of the University of Heidelberg with Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. Thomas Hillenkamp as supervisor. She completed her legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Düsseldorf with stages, inter alia, with the Medical Chamber of North Rine (»Ärztekammer Nordrhein«), an international law firm's healthcare group and a civil law firm in Sydney, Australia. She passed her second state exam in 2016. During her legal clerkship, she also worked as a research assistant in a boutique law firm for corporate criminal law in Düsseldorf. Since 2017, she is admitted to the bar and works as attorney in a boutique for healthcare and life sciences in Düsseldorf.
