This study deals with an era in which production and refinement of glass in Prussia changed dramatically due to radical changes in economy and political administration. Production was also increasingly based on scientific principles, facilitations in trade and improvement in transportation lead to the expansion of markets and production. The study's focus is on individual glassmakers, different types of glass, industrial reform and patronage in Prussia, examples from the Museum of Decorative Arts and references from the Secret State Archives Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation Berlin.
