The 27th volume of the »Jahrbuch Politisches Denken« (»Yearbook of Political Thought«) collects contributions that once again prove that in terms of the range of its articulations, political thought covers only an understanding that is developed through interdisciplinary means, as well as research spanning different epochs and areas of specialism. A glance at the sources studied by the authors, which naturally also include fiction, already clearly reveals this breadth of range – including with regard to the methodological consequences.

This time, the authors who are the subject of the analysis include Carl Schmitt, Friedrich Nietzsche, Friedrich Dürrenmatt, Joseph von Radowitz, Jürgen Habermas and H. G. Wells, among others, while the topics discussed in the essays range from biopolitical and geopolitical issues to questions relating to hermeneutics and methodological aspects of research in political thought, through to Europe.
