»The Applicability of the Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains (Lieferkettensorgfaltspflichtengesetz). The Personal (§ 1 LkSG) and Material (§ 2 [5] to [8] LkSG) Scope of the Act«: The German Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations in Supply Chains is intended to counteract the violation of human rights and environmental concerns by companies. Violations of the law can result in fines. The prerequisite is that the company falls within the scope of the law and must comply with the due diligence obligations along the supply chain. The legal requirements for the personal and material scope of application of the Supply Chain Act are the subject of this work.
